  BioCellular Analysis for Special Needs Children

BioCellular Analysis is an analysis of the components of our foundational biochemistry. It's looking at the various levels that make up 97% of our body chemistry such as salt conductivity, carbohydrate metabolism (sugar) levels, nitrogen (protein) levels, oxidative stress levels and liver functioning, specific gravity (kidney functioning), ammonia levels (from ureas) which is toxic waste, surface tension(cell wall), cellular production (mitochondria), hydration(intercellular) plus organ functioning and the pHs of the urine (buffering system - minerals) and saliva (enzymatic functioning on a metabolic level). If the pHs are not within normal range the body begins to experience a breakdown process.

Abnormal pH levels

Abnormal pH levels can indicate many imbalances in the body. For instance, your child might be taking supplements but not absorbing them or acquiring the benefits from the nutrition. It can also means your child is not acquiring muscle tone which affects the functioning of all the neurotransmitters, the sensory, neurological and nervous systems - not just the physical body. In addition to the absorption issue, it is also important to know that if the foundational chemistry is not within range, then it would not be safe and as effective to proceed with a detoxification process for heavy metals and toxins on your child.

Detoxification Process

Your child is fragile and a detoxification process to excrete heavy metals and toxins is difficult. By normalizing the biochemistry this prepares the body to undergo this process and protects the child creating a safe and easy process. A successful detoxification program requires that the body's high salts are normalized, the body’s essential fats are absorbed and plentiful, blood sugar is within range, the body is hydrated on an intercellular level, the GI tract has no fermentation, gut dysbiosis etc., the urea ammonia levels are down and the protein levels are up, the cell wall and membrane is not permeated and leaching out nutrients and the mitochondria is functioning at an optimum level, the metabolic and gastrointestinal enzymes are functioning and a buffering mineral system is available to protect the kidneys. Then a safe and successful detoxification process can be achieved.

Bio Chemistry affects Brain, Nervous System, Sensory System and Immune Functioning

Some of the common issues that we see with special needs children are high salts which trigger the sympathetic dominance, fight or flight hyped up nervous system (hyperactivity) affecting the sensory system as well as the nervous and neurological systems. High salts will affect adrenal functioning and hormonal functioning causing the child to lack the ability to cope with life's smallest of challenges, triggering high fears, anxiety, meltdowns and many behavioral issues. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) coupled with cravings can trigger mood swings, difficult behavior, hyperactivity, and can even trigger seizures (low glucose in the brain); high ammonia keeps the GI tract in constant fermentation, causes inappropriate verbal behavior, lack of focus and concentration; low protein levels affects the body's ability to maintain stabilized carbohydrate levels, maintain internal and external muscle tone, affects normal functioning of the sensory system, lack of amino acids from protein effects neurotransmitters and cognitive functioning; permeated cell wall causes nutrients to leaching and passing through the cell wall compromising absorption triggering low cellular production of ATP which is the level of cellular energy needed for the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates by the mitochondria - hence low stamina, fatigue, low motivation etc; High oxidative stress and inflammation effecting neurological functioning, immune deregulation;  mineral loss and low metabolic enzyme functioning effect muscle tone in the body – gross and fine motor… muscle tone is needed for speech, fine motor skills, cognitive functioning, sensory/motor, hand/eye coordination, bowel functioning, eye contact etc.

Creating a Foundation

We provide a nutritional and dietary protocol with a consult to help rebuild and normalize your child’s biochemistry. This is a building process for your child, but you will see immediate changes and continuing changes that take place over a period of time. It is so much more difficult trying to regulate all the issues your child has with his nervous, sensory, and neurological systems when the bio chemistry is abnormal. The foundation needs to be in place. It is the same as building a house with a first floor but having no foundation…it is difficult to move forward. Each child has the potential for improvement if given an individualized protocol of what is needed to be corrected – build and create.
